What this checks, and what it cannot
Two kinds of finding. Verified findings are decided by arithmetic against the Visa Code — passport validity, the required document categories, the EUR 30 000 insurance minimum, whether your documents name the same person. Assessments are a judgement about what your file does not yet show, each tied to a published refusal ground. Neither predicts the decision: a visa is discretionary and nobody can promise you one.

- What does this actually check?
- Your passport against Article 12 of the Visa Code — valid at least three months past your return, two blank pages, issued within the last ten years — whether your file covers each supporting-document category in Article 14, whether your insurance meets the EUR 30 000 minimum in Article 15 and covers your whole trip, and whether your documents name the same person.
- Will it tell me if I will get the visa?
- No, and be wary of anything that says it will. A visa is a discretionary decision made by a consular officer. This checks what can be checked against published rules and tells you what your file does not yet show.
- What happens to my passport scan?

- Where do the rules come from?
