What this checks, and what it cannot

Two kinds of finding. Verified findings are decided by arithmetic against the Visa Code — passport validity, the required document categories, the EUR 30 000 insurance minimum, whether your documents name the same person. Assessments are a judgement about what your file does not yet show, each tied to a published refusal ground. Neither predicts the decision: a visa is discretionary and nobody can promise you one.

What does this actually check?
Your passport against 9 FAM 403.9-3 — valid at least six months beyond your period of stay — whether your file has the DS-160 confirmation page, the fee receipt and a photo, whether it shows the purpose of your trip, your intent to depart and your ability to pay, and whether your documents all name the same person.
Will it tell me if I will get the visa?
No. INA 214(b) presumes every applicant is an immigrant until they satisfy the consular officer otherwise, and that is a judgement made in person at the interview. This is a discretionary decision nobody can promise you. This checks the file you bring to it and names what that file does not yet show.
My country has a passport agreement with the US — does this know about it?
No, and it says so rather than guessing. Some nationalities have an arrangement that extends passport validity six months past the printed expiry, listed in 9 FAM 403.9-3(B)(2). We do not hold that list, so the six-month finding names the exemption and points you at it instead of quietly passing you on a rule we cannot check.
Do I need an invitation letter or an Affidavit of Support?
The State Department says no: applicants must qualify on their ties to their home country rather than assurances from US family and friends, and a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed for a visitor visa. So this never asks you for one, and never counts its absence against you.
