The Colombian Passport Photo Is Taken at the Office

Colombia's foreign ministry says no photographs are required for a passport: they are taken digitally and in person at the passport office as part of the procedure, at no cost. Its passport pages add that it is not necessary to bring photos, at offices in Colombia and at consulates. Earlier copy on this page listed a photo size to prepare; that was incorrect.

  • Photo: taken at the office when you apply.
  • The ministry recommends a simple hairstyle and no jewellery or accessories.
  • Do not buy a photo for a Colombian passport application.
