K-ETA's own FAQ lists what the portrait needs: a colour JPG under 20MB, with a full front view of the face taking up about 75% of the image and the eyes open. It gives no pixel size and no background colour, so the square 700×700 px file under 100KB that we export is our preset, not an official figure.

• What K-ETA asks for: a colour JPG with an image size not exceeding 20MB.
• Face: full face, front view, about 75% of the image, eyes open and looking straight at the camera.
• Accessories: no hats, scarves or sunglasses. Religious clothing may be worn if the face shows clearly from forehead to chin.
• Clothing: K-ETA recommends avoiding brightly patterned clothing.
• What we export: a square 700×700 px JPG, 100KB or less, plain white background, head at 70–80% of the image height.
• Our size, file limit and background are a preset that fits inside K-ETA's published limits. K-ETA does not publish them itself.
