Official Turkey Visa Photo Dimensions & Requirements (50×60mm)

The Turkish TOURIST eVisa at evisa.gov.tr does NOT require any photo upload — applicants can complete the eVisa using only passport and travel info. Photos are only needed for Turkish work, residence, student, and longer-stay visa categories, where the official Turkish consulate spec is 50×60mm white background. Earlier copy on this site listed 600×600px square — that was incorrect.

  • Dimensions: 50mm × 60mm (5×6cm) for work/residence/student visas.
  • Background: Plain white only (no patterns).
  • Head height: 35–45mm (face 70–80% of frame).
  • Expression: Neutral, eyes open, mouth closed.
  • Glasses: Not allowed.
  • Recency: Taken within the last 6 months.
  • Digital file: JPEG/JPG/PNG ≤120KB.
  • Tourist eVisa (evisa.gov.tr): NO photo required.

Do Not Buy a Photo for the Tourist eVisa

The official tourist eVisa flow uses passport and travel information and does not request a standalone portrait. A photo service is only relevant when your consulate or longer-stay application explicitly asks for the separate 50×60mm format.
