Who Takes the Israeli Passport Photo

The Israeli government's biometric passport service says that when you apply for your first biometric document, an authority clerk will photograph your face and scan your fingerprints at a Population and Immigration Authority office. You do not bring a photo for that. Israeli missions abroad publish a separate passport photo guide; follow the instructions of the mission where you apply. Earlier copy on this page gave a 5×5cm photo as the general requirement, which we could not confirm against a government source.

  • In Israel: the photo is taken at the office.
  • Abroad: ask the mission where you apply which photo it needs.
  • We do not make this photo.
