Myanmar's official eVisa portal (evisa.moip.gov.mm) requires a JPEG biometric photo uploaded during the application. The photo must meet the following specifications.
- Size: 3.8cm wide × 4.6cm high (38×46mm, 449×543px at 300 DPI).
- Colour photo taken within the last 3 months.
- Background: plain white.
- Head height: we keep it at 70–80% of the image height. The portal does not publish a head size.
- Expression: neutral, mouth closed, eyes open.
- No glasses or reflective lenses.
- We export a JPEG under 240 KB.
Common Myanmar eVisa Photo Errors
Applications with non-compliant photos are delayed or rejected by the Ministry of Immigration. These are the most frequent errors.
- Background is not pure white — shadows, cream walls, or visible furniture behind the subject.
- Head is cut off at the crown or the chin is partially missing.
- Photo is a screenshot from a social media profile or ID card scan.
