Greece issues passports through the Hellenic Passport Centre (passport.gov.gr). Greek passport photos use the larger 40×60mm format, NOT the international 35×45mm. Earlier copy on this site listed 35×45mm — that was incorrect.
- Size: 40×60mm without frame (472×709px at 300 DPI).
- Face length (jaw to top of head): 31-35mm.
- Face width (ear to ear): 20-25mm.
- Distance from photo bottom to eyes: 30-39mm.
- Background: plain white, evenly lit, no shadows.
- Print on high-quality white photo paper (not watercolored or relief).
- Expression: neutral, mouth closed, eyes open.
- No hats or headwear unless documented religious reasons.
- ICAO 9303 biometric standard. Recent photo within last 6 months.
